The Villa 

This villa with apartment has an unforgettable view of the Pitons on Saint Lucia’s south-west coast. The house contains 3 floors. On the basement level there is a self-contained studio apartment. The main house, which comprises 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, occupies the ground and first floors. 

The ground floor contains most of the living space including 2 bedrooms. The entrance is accessed from the driveway and is only 1 step up. There is a wrap around porch to the front and western perimeter of the house. This provides a lovely sitting area overlooking a Japanese zen garden. The covered porch also serves as a foyer, and offers a welcoming entrance to the home. 

Large front doors lead into a spacious living room.This cozy yet generous living area is the central point of the home. There are high ceilings that keep the house cool and allow the sunlight to enter through large windows. A wooden flight of stairs, and a mezzanine overlooking the living room, draw your eyes upward and make a good first impression of the interior. The living room has an adjacent nook with a lounge chair, bay window and book shelf. This is an inviting space for reading, napping or simply enjoying some quiet time. 

There is a separate kitchen and dining area behind the living room. This room is impressive both in scale and design. The cooking and dining areas are separated by 2 stone-clad pillars, which are connected by a bar.  A blue accent wall brings in the colours of nature and complements the dark stain on the cabinetry. There is more than enough storage space, including bookshelves which add ambiance. The The room is massive yet cozy and can accommodate both large and small groups. The ceiling is also quite high and the floor is a charming stained concrete. The dining table is positioned in front of a double door that beckons you onto the balcony. 

In a house full of wow features, the view is definitely what you fall in love with the most. The perspective is north-west, and the property directly faces Saint Lucia’s signature peaks, the Pitons. Many a writer have fallen short of describing the Pitons, so I will only say that the owner of this home gets to enjoy that beauty, unobstructed, 24 hours a day. The mountains however, are only the focal point of a view that offers so much. You can also see the horizon and sunset to the west. There is also a canyon that traverses east of the home, which ads to the beauty and privacy of the locale. 

The ground floor also contains 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a hallway to the right of the living room, which leads to the domiciles. One of the rooms is en-suite, while the other utilises a bathroom in the hallway. The bedrooms are both spacious, bright and welcoming. The bathrooms are updated and in good condition. 

The master suite occupies the top floor. Having the master on its own floor gives the home a sense of grandeur. The space is a sanctuary offering peace and privacy. It is fully updated. Features such as porcelain tiles, recessed as well as hanging lights give the room a royal touch. There are spacious his and hers closets which provide a lot of storage in an adjacent dressing area. The master bathroom displays the same attention to detail that you notice throughout the property. It also has a Piton view, updated cabinetry and lovely tiles. 

The master bed faces a door to a private balcony, which has the best view in the house! Here the Pitons are in your face. There is a nice breeze and everything around is lush. There is also a front balcony which overlooks the front garden. 

One of the key features of this property is the self-contained studio apartment. This is located on the basement level and has direct access to the beautiful back yard. The apartment is accessed by a separate stairway, which leads to a huge patio. Guess love outdoor spaces and this one is certainly very attractive. The interior of the apartment has an open floor plan with a bedroom, sitting area, kitchenette and separate bathroom.

Here are some attractions to look for in or around Choiseul. 

• Beaches: there are numerous beaches nearby. Rudy John park, Piaye beach and Sabwisha beach are picturesque sandy coves, all within 5 minutes of the property. 15 minutes north, you find the famous Anse Chastanet, a stunning beach known for its clear waters and coral reefs, perfect for snorkelling and diving.
• The Pitons: Petit Piton and Gros Piton are two volcanic spires which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are perhaps the most recognisable landmarks in Saint Lucia. Hiking trails lead to the summit of Gros Piton, offering stunning panoramic views of the island and surrounding ocean. Gros Piton trail is about 15 minutes from the home. 
• The Sulphur Springs is just a short drive from Choiseul. This is the Caribbean’s only drive-in volcano. Visitors can take guided tours, learn about volcanic activity, and enjoy the therapeutic mud baths in the hot springs.
• Waterfalls: there are numerous waterfalls in the vicinity. Explore the rugged canyons with a local guide or take a scenic stroll through the Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens in Soufriere. 
• Choiseul Village: The village itself is rich in cultural heritage, with colonial architecture and historical sites that reflect the history of Saint Lucia. Explore local craft studios, and can purchase handmade items.
• Snorkeling and Diving: The waters around Choiseul are teeming with marine life. Tour operators offer snorkelling and diving trips to explore the vibrant coral reefs and underwater ecosystems. Some beaches near Choiseul offer rentals for kayaking and kitesurfing, providing an adventurous way to explore the coastline.
